CHAPTERS.

1. YOUR CHOICE.

'THE GOOD DRIVER WILL ATTRACT CREDIT FOR MUCH HE KNOWS LITTLE ABOUT'.

Most drivers select a motor vehicle without much thought or plan.

Colour rarely enters the equation and yet colour is extremely important. See and be seen. In this chapter we learn how to recognise the sex of an ostrich; why is this skill important, safety is paramount.

How many motor cyclists and cyclist wear the appropriate clothing so that they can been seen? All too few. This subject should be common sense like walking on the correct side of the road. All these subjects are in 1288 and they need to be learnt in the interest of safely.

These details alone make a mockery of our 'health and safety' regulations!

Secondly, what is the second most important detail to assess? The seat is not obvious which, perhaps, it is the reason why, in a vehicle report, the seat is never mentioned. Rarely are the other items of importance to the driver ever considered.

If and only when a driver is completely comfortable can s/he perform three tasks in the 'field of vision'.

'Heel & Toe' is analysed in detail and any driver decrying this technique will be a 'duffer' all his life behind the wheel of a car!

How and where to hold the steering-wheel is rarely taught.

The  'Push-Pull' technique is the best concentration aid enhancing skill a driver can use throughout life.  Also, it is the best method of controlling your vehicle.

The first chapter in 1288 will improve all drivers' skills by multiple percentages. This statement never will be challenged.

'We must all be concerned with driving well because we must spend every inch on the road until the journey is completed'.
